Wisconsin School Choice
Catholic Central is a Wisconsin School Choice Approved School. The state of Wisconsin has three private school choice programs (Milwaukee Parental Choice Program; MPCP, Racine Parental Choice Program; RPCP, Wisconsin Parental Choice Program; WPCP) allowing eligible students to attend a participating private school in grades K4 through 12th for tuition-free assistance. School Choice offers great opportunities for those students and families who would not be able to afford a private school education.

Shadow Days
Experience a day in the life of a Hilltopper Student! Our shadow day program offers prospective students a unique opportunity to experience a typical school day, so you can make an informed decision about your education. By immersing yourself in our school culture, you'll gain valuable insights into our academic programs, extracurricular activities, and the overall student experience.

Each student is paired with a current student who will be their guide for the day. Explore our facilities, attend classes, and engage with teachers, staff, and fellow students to get a feel for our welcoming and supportive environment.​

Bus Transportation
Catholic Central offers daily bus transportation to make an excellent education accessible to more families. Our routes serve Burlington and surrounding communities across Racine, Kenosha, and Walworth counties, with convenient pick-up points and reliable schedules. If transportation is a barrier, let us help. Our team will work with you to explore the best stop, route, or carpool option for your family. Transfer Students
Catholic Central gladly welcomes transfer students at various points throughout the high school journey. Whether you’re seeking a stronger academic challenge, a faith-based environment, or a supportive community where every student is known, we’re here to help make your transition smooth and successful. Our admissions team will work closely with your family to review transcripts, answer questions, and ensure your child feels right at home as a Hilltopper.

Placement Testing
​After successfully completing our online application, taking the CCHS Admissions Placement Exam is required for all incoming freshmen. ​This is a standardized admission test (the STS High School Placement Test, commonly referred to as the HSPT). Once the Placement Test is successfully completed, it will be evaluated by the Academics and Admissions Departments. Families will receive a copy of their child's placement test scores at freshmen registration. (Placement testing fee is due at the time of registration. Waiver codes are available upon request)
What To Know For The Day of Test - Students should get a good night’s sleep and eat a wholesome breakfast! - Students are encouraged to bring a beverage to have during the exam. They may also bring a light snack to have during the break. - Three (3) hour testing duration - Pencils and test materials will be provided. - No calculators will be allowed. - Cell phones must be turned off during the exam. - Dress code is casual. - Arrive 10 minutes early (148 McHenry Street, Burlington, WI 53105) - This test is a five part multiple choice exam. Students will additionally complete an on-site written essay. ​
Placement Test Dates Placement Tests for the upcoming school year are offered each fall. Additional dates will be added as needed. For late applicants/individual testing, please contact our Admissions Department at admissions@cchsnet.org for additional test dates. Who can apply for financial assistance?
All families can apply! Even if you're unsure, go ahead and apply. Each tuition assistance award is based on a thoughtful and thorough review of your family's individual financial situation. Several factors are considered when determining eligibility including income, number of dependents, tuition paid to other schools, and any unique expenses or circumstances specific to your family.
When do I apply?
Incoming freshmen will receive scholarship packets at Freshman Registration. Returning Sophomores through Seniors may reapply for scholarships beginning in February.
What if our family earns too much to qualify for tuition assistance? Should we still apply?
Yes, if your family is experiencing financial need, we encourage you to apply. Every application is reviewed on a case-by-case basis. We understand that income alone doesn't always reflect a family's full financial picture. Extenuating circumstances - such as medical expenses, tuition at other schools, or other financial responsibilities are carefully considered during the review process. In addition to a need-based assistance, we also offer merit-based scholarships that recognize academic achievements, leadership, and other talents. We're committed to making a CCHS education accessible for all families who seek it.
